Have you been involved in organizing similar scientific meetings and/or meetings in your chosen venue? Please give details.

AfSHG aims to hold its meetings in conjunction with a local genetics/medical Society (e.g. the Cameroonian Human Genetics Society, the Ethiopian Medical Association, Southern African Society of Human Genetics). Which Society do you propose linking with in your country and would it consider a joint meeting with the AfSHG?

How easy is it to get to the proposed city? Please give details of the airport(s) that would be used, its proximity to the proposed venue, and information about flight connections from other African countries, Europe and USA, ground transportation options.

How easy is it for delegates to get a visa - e.g. can they be issued at the airport on arrival?

Please indicate the best month between October and April that you can host such a meeting, taking into consideration specific events or other factors such as weather (e.g. rainy season) that might impact on the success of the meeting.

Please give details of all individuals who will be involved with conference organization, including their position and previous relevant experience.

Please confirm that the lead organizer is and will remain mainly resident in the proposed city - the meeting requires someone ‘on the ground’ to make all the local arrangements with support from the AfSHG Executive
